Now that we’ve begun settling in to the new year, most of us start to feel a new sense of hope. Maybe this year we’ll finally stray away from our simple habits and take a few more risks when it comes to getting dressed in the morning. But where do you begin? Try starting with little tasks and go from there. The following fashion resolutions are bound to put you on your path to sartorial success.
1. Dress weather appropriately
Now that 2017 is here, we can take a look at 2016 from a safe distant and confidently say the fashion world wasn’t the only one that saw its fair share of highs and lows.
When it came to street style, we saw a surplus of statement-making music merch, off-the-shoulder everything, vintage fit denim, and slip dresses. Even Google noticed the booming bomber jacket craze. Obviously, celebrities paved the way for a number of these trends.
And because anybody can look good with hours in the makeup chair and a stylist on hand for a red carpet appearance, but it takes actual effort and a sense of style to pull yourself together on any average day walking down the street, these stars were the definition of street style inspo for 2016.

Just the word ‘resolution’ incites an uneasy feeling in us. The idea that we all wait for January 1 to begin building better habits is slightly overwhelming. Obviously, we’re not going to completely transform overnight, but it’s the little, more attainable goals that are going to count in the end.
