Despite heaps of snow and bone-chilling wind, fashion’s most elite crowd flocked to New York over the course of the past week for NYFW 2017, with their street style game still in check. The key to pulling off street style in such weather was clearly choosing a look that was both versatile and cozy. Among showgoers, popular outerwear choices included colorful furs, plaid overcoats, and shearling jackets in a number of variations. New York Fashion Week is winding down today, and this past week has been chock-full of fashion that’s inspired, outrageous, and downright stunning. We’re not even talking about the runway shows — it’s the street style that grabbed our attention. The freezing New York weather and fast-paced attitude brought out a few common trends among show-goers.
