Men are becoming more fashion conscious these days but sometimes they still need a little help in this department. That’s where we come in. Now that the cold days of winter are here it’s important that guys know what types of jackets to wear and what keeps them warm in all kinds of weather.
50°F – 60°F: If it’s a little bit cold outside with a chance it will warm up then a light jacket, hoodie or sweatshirt will do the trick. Pair it with a long sleeved shirt, jeans and sneakers and you can shed the jacket or hoodie when the sun comes out to play.
40°F – 49°F: There’s a bit of a chill in the air at this temp so you’re going to need something heavier than a hoodie. A jacket with a thick inner lining and zip-up collar will work to keep out the cold. At this temp, it helps to layer underneath with a long sleeve shirt or sweater.
30°F – 39°F: If it’s freezing, then you’ll need to be prepared for ice and snow outside. Wear a heavy wool blend pea coat, coupled with a thick comfy scarf wrapped around your neck and gloves to keep your hands warm. You will be toasty in no time!
29°F and Below: Anything below 30° and you definitely want to be bundled up in the right coat! Layering also helps to keep you warm so it’s a good idea to wear a T-shirt under a thick long sleeve shirt or sweater. Add a scarf, gloves and a cable knit hat or beanie to the finishing piece – a thick, heavy, quilted parka or coat. You can find them with hoodies attached or collars that can be buttoned up for added warmth.
