The all-American blogger behind our weekly style crush is the embodiment of effortless, easy-chic street style, favoring uncomplicated silhouettes offset with a conversation piece or two (hello, amazing Phillip Lim crossbody bag and golden Fossil watch). It’s not uncommon to find Jacy Overstreet in a loose yet crisp sweater styled with a pair of pointed booties or open-toed heels, not to mention her perfectly placed accessories — chunky scarves, structured bags, and gold jewelry, yes please!
Jacy, 23, began her blog in 2012 with the fashion sense of a downhome country cutie in retro Beatles t-shirts, tulle skirts, and cowgirl-style boots. She’s now graduated to sleek sweaters, wide-brimmed hats, and sophisticated denim. And her blog Love, Lenore (Lenore is her middle name) has grown to include a look inside her home life as a newlywed with two adorable pups, and her work life as a communications director of a school district. Oh yeah, and the archives are chock-full of outfit inspirations that make us think we can look just as flawless on a day-to-day basis no matter where we are.
“Loving fashion doesn’t have to involve the world’s most stylish cities or the most glamorous labels,” she writes.
As a Missouri native who boasts sale scores on the regular, she’s proving herself right, whether she’s dressing sharp in work attire or comfy-cute in loungewear.
If you’re in need of relaxed inspiration, her Casual Friday looks and weekend ensembles are defined by thick leggings, relaxed tanks and tees, and oversized sweaters (pictured above). Think cozy. Outfits you can whip up quickly when you need to run errands, but you’ll still look put-together and polished. But it’s her work-ready street style that first grabbed our eye. Chic, minimal, staple pieces that are both versatile and timeless. In shades of off-white, gold, and blush pink, she’s like a gorgeous ballerina transformed into an elegant businesswoman.
In addition to her regular outfit posts, Jacy shares monthly wishlists filled with sleek, trendy items that everyone else is bound to be vying after as hard as she is. It’s like getting a pleasant foreshadowing of what you’ll see in her future looks. She also lends helpful skincare tips with honest advice for anyone struggling with their complexion. And she offers a look into her daily primping routine with tutorials on how she does her makeup and styles her hair.
If it gets us one step closer to her natural-looking glow and perfectly tousled locks, count us in!
Whether she’s sporting a striking pairing of cream and black or adding a feminine pop of color against rugged leather, we’re hooked to her fresh take on the classics. We were so obsessed with her style that we put together a few “Shop The Look” inspiration boards featuring items we carry at Designer Studio.
