Despite heaps of snow and bone-chilling wind, fashion’s most elite crowd flocked to New York over the course of the past week for NYFW 2017, with their street style game still in check. The key to pulling off street style in such weather was clearly choosing a look that was both versatile and cozy. Among showgoers, popular outerwear choices included colorful furs, plaid overcoats, and shearling jackets in a number of variations. Now that 2017 is here, we can take a look at 2016 from a safe distant and confidently say the fashion world wasn’t the only one that saw its fair share of highs and lows.
